An owner or occupier of a section shall not, without the consent in writing of the Trustees, which approval may not unreasonably be withheld, keep any animal, reptile or bird in a section or on the common property. Therefore, application must be done before a pet is brought onto the premises, failing which the Trustees may request removal of such pet within fourteen (14) days of issuance of such a request in writing. |

When granting such approval, the Trustees may prescribe any reasonable condition. Specific rules and conditions, previously agreed to by the Trustees, may be imposed if and when an application to keep a pet is approved by the Trustees. |

The Trustees may withdraw such approval in the event of any breach of any condition prescribed in terms of subrule (2). |

No animals are allowed on common property unless carried or leashed. |

Animals may not be allowed unattended on the common property |

Owners of animals or pets will be responsible for the removal of excrement or refuse left on the common property or in private gardens. |

Cat litter trays may not be left on the Common Property and cat litter must be sealed in bags before disposal. |

Aviaries and accommodation for other approved animals/pets may not be erected on the Common Property or, if on an exclusive use area, in a manner not to be conspicuous or offensive to other residents or the public. |

Residents owning animals must ensure that such animals or pets remain on their premises and do not hinder neighbours, i.e. excessive barking, etc. |

When selecting an animal or pet, consideration should be given to the animals or pet’s needs, i.e. area required for size of pet. |

Should complaints be received regarding your animals or pets needs not being taken into consideration, it will be reported to the Trustees, who may withdraw the approval. |
12 |
Residents will be liable to pay for any damages caused by their pets. |
